At Emkao Foods, we take pride in producing high-quality cacao ingredients while staying committed to ethical and sustainable practices. Our operations are rooted in the 100-hectare Kotou Family Farm in the Méfou-et-Afama Aba region of Cameroon, where three generations have refined the art of cacao farming. With UTZ certification, we ensure sustainable agriculture, fair wages, and employment for 80-100 local farmers each harvest season, providing training, salaries, and benefits to support the community.

• Likao (cacao liquor),
• Pokao (cacao powder),
• Bukao (cacao butter),
• Chokao (vegan dark chocolate chips), and
• Bakao (70% dark chocolate bar),

We are launching this crowdfunding campaign to raise $50,000 to purchase a modern shipment container that will help us transport our cacao beans from Africa to Canada. This container will:

• Enhance supply chain efficiency  by ensuring reliable and timely logistics during the cacao harvesting season (September to January).
• Preserve product quality with better temperature and humidity control during transit, directly impacting the final product.
• Align with our sustainability goals by incorporating eco-friendly features like energy-efficient cooling systems, reducing the carbon footprint of our shipping logistics.
